Brian Scudamore was one class short of graduating from high school when he dropped out to focus on his business. Brian had seen an old beat-up truck hauling away junk and thought he could create his own business hauling away junk and take it to the next level. Since its start in 1989, 1-800-Got-Junk now has 173 Franchise partners in Canada, the United States, and Australia. Brian has found a great deal of success and modeled his business to become a franchise from the beginning. During the interview, what really stood out to me is how modest, and down to earth, Brian is. He is so friendly, outgoing, and willing to help other entrepreneurs.
