Have you used Craigslist yet? If not, you may want to look into it. Craiglist is an excellent resource for buying used equipment, advertising a job opening, and even finding a job. Craigslist is found at www.craigslist.com. From here, you narrow down your search area by clicking on the region you live in or a place you think something may be.
One excellent tool I have found to use while searching Craigslist is called Search Tempest. Formerly CraigsHelper.com, Searchtempest.com will look through every region to find what you are looking for. For example, I was looking for a used embroidery machine and used search tempest to look all over the US for a used machine under $10,000. The search tempest located 1 in Denver and another in South Dakota. It would have taken forever to find these machines if I didn’t have Searchtempest.
You’d be surprised how many people actually use craiglist. I personally advertised a job opening a few months back. Within a few hours I already had 12 resumes submitted. The candidates were excellent and I was able to find a great employee. Creating this listing did not cost me a dime.
For the bootstrapping entrepreneur, Craigslist is well worth a look at. It’s a great place to find freelancers, interns, helpful college students, employees, and all sorts of bargains.
